Speech therapy treats more than just words. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Speech therapy is an important part of rehab for traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and severe concussions. It is also helpful in treating neurological disorders, developmental delays, and autism.

Massage therapy seeks to restore muscles and soft tissue to normal length and tension, while decreasing pain and enhancing function. While the human skeleton provides the framework of the body, muscles, ligaments and tendons hold bones in position and produce movement. When injury occurs, whether chronic or acute, muscles often respond by becoming shortened, tight, scarred, or painful. Clinical massage therapy can help to loosen the muscles so that they return to normal function.
